FAQ
Q. We’d like a pre-wedding shoot so that we can use the photos for our invitations and on the wedding day. Is that possible?
A. Yes! We’re happy to create a quote for you – just give us a call!
Q. What are your travel charges?
A. Our charges are based on travel from Tokoroa – you’ll find that we’re very competitive! For examples, see here .
Q. Why do we do a pre wedding visit?
A. This is to ensure that we can take the best images for you. We walk around with you and look over the venue, pick places that would be great (and see how the light is around there!), and generally assess how we’d work on the day! This helps for better pictures, and helps take a lot of stress away from your day itself!
Q. Do you take “getting ready” photos of the guys?
A. Yes! We enjoy photographing the guys getting ready – it helps to complete the full story of the day for your slideshow, and it’s great fun too! It’s entirely their choice, though.
Q. How long before we get our photos?
A. We allow around three weeks to process your images and create your slideshow. This is to edit your photos beautifully, giving each moment an individual polish.
Q. Do you supply the raw files?
A. No we don’t. If your package includes the photo files, they are high quality JPEGS. This allows to to print pretty much anything you like (although if you want to print something the size of a lounge wall, please let us know and we will prepare your photo for you!) The files are also suitable for you to edit if you wish.
Q. Who has ownership of the files once our photos have been taken?
A. The studio retains copyright, but gives you the right to use your photos however you wish – we’re not stingy!
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. We are prepared for all situations, but it’s highly advisable to have a back up plan if it rains on your day! It’s also a good idea that you remember your guests if this does happen – trying to find a place for 50+ people at short notice is often impossible!
Q. Should I have my formals before or after the ceremony?
A. Depending on what you want – in New Zealand, it’s more common to have your formals after the ceremony, but on another note we get the odd request to have a few of the formals done before the ceremony as kids get restless! It’s up to you.
Q. How long does it take before I get my Album and parent albums?
A. It all depends on what you’ve ordered. Albums take 4-5 weeks to deliver once you have approved your album design.
Q. Why don’t my photos look as good as they did in the studio?
A. This is probably due to how your monitor is set up in terms of colour! It’s just a matter of calibrating your monitor using your contrast and brightness settings. Here’s a link to help you calibrate your monitor with this.
